Web and media design today is much more than just learning to create web pages using HTML. The Bachelor of Science degree program in Web Design & Interactive Media offers many hands-on experiences from designing dynamic interfaces to managing website growth and programming interactivity. Creating a fully functioning, feature rich, user experience takes comprehensive knowledge of several skills including CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) Javascript, PHP, ASP.NET, ActionScript and AJAX.

Students can study a wide range of topics from designing virtual worlds to developing rich internet applications using the Adobe Flash Platform; from working with physical computing technologies to designing video games, or even the next great data-driven social media application.Students have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the interactive media design and production process including documentation, design, marketing, e-commerce, information architecture, usability, programming, audio, video, mobile technology and interactive broadband experiences.

When students leave the program, they are equipped with an interview-ready portfolio to help launch their careers in entry-level media jobs such as interactive designer, website developer, web application developer, mobile devices application developer, information architect, and interactive producer.Whether creating websites with streaming video, creating interactive games, or coming up with the next killer iPhone application, the Web Design & Interactive Media degree program provides the education needed to prepare students for one of today’s most sought after career paths.
